1. Who We Are and What We Do

JupiRide operates a rideshare platform that connects passengers with independent drivers in California via the JupiRide mobile app and website (the "Platform"). JupiRide is a technology platform, not a transportation company. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of JupiRide.

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

To use JupiRide as a passenger, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid phone number, email address, and payment method, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity on your account. JupiRide may suspend or terminate your account if we believe it has been compromised or used in violation of these Terms.

4. Requesting a Ride

JupiRide will match you with an available driver near your location. You will see the driver name, photo, vehicle, and estimated arrival time, plus an estimated fare before you confirm. Your payment method is charged automatically at the end of the ride. Cancellation fees may apply if the driver is already en route.

5. Fares and Payment

  • Fare calculation: Based on distance, time, and applicable pricing. Dynamic pricing may apply - you always see the estimated fare before confirming.
  • Payment: You authorize JupiRide to charge your saved payment method for each completed ride, including cancellation fees or tolls.
  • Disputes: Contact support@jupiride.com within 7 days if you believe a fare is incorrect.

6. Your Responsibilities as a Passenger

  • Treat drivers with respect and professionalism
  • No discrimination, harassment, or threatening behavior
  • No damage to the driver vehicle - you will be charged for documented costs
  • Wear your seatbelt for the entire ride

7. Safety

For emergencies during a ride, call 911 immediately. JupiRide maintains $1,000,000 liability insurance per incident while a driver is actively transporting you, as required by California law. Report non-emergency concerns to support@jupiride.com.

8. JupiRide's Role and Limitations

JupiRide connects you with independent drivers - we do not provide transportation directly. JupiRide is not responsible for driver conduct, traffic delays, lost items, or damage outside active platform use.

9. Limitation of Liability

JupiRide's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific ride giving rise to the claim. JupiRide is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This does not apply to the $1M accident insurance coverage during active rides.

10. Dispute Resolution - Mandatory Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Any dispute between you and JupiRide will be resolved through individual binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Riverside County, California. You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in any class action lawsuit against JupiRide.

Exception: Individual claims in small claims court are permitted. Opt-out: email support@jupiride.com with subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

11. Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for details. JupiRide will never sell your personal information.

12. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you of material changes via push notification and in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
